Starting physical therapy at home is simple. Here's what your first visit with UPT Services looks like.
Before the visit
We confirm your insurance and schedule a time that works for you. Have your medication list and any doctor's paperwork handy.
The evaluation (about 45 to 60 minutes)
Your therapist asks about your health, recent changes, and what's become hard to do. Then we check strength, flexibility, balance and walking, often using the real places you move every day: your stairs, your bathroom, your favorite chair.
A quick home safety check
We look for trip hazards and suggest simple changes, like a grab bar or better lighting. Learn more about our home safety evaluations.
Setting goals together
Whether it's walking to the mailbox, getting in and out of the car, or playing with grandchildren, we build your plan around what matters to you.
Your first exercises
You'll leave with a few simple exercises to start right away. Family members are welcome to join and learn how to help.
